Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sababa-chat (the “App” or “Service”), operated by Evgenii Valdman, sole proprietor (עוסק), registered in Israel (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Operator”).

These Terms apply to your use of Sababa-chat in Israel, the United States, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions where the App may be made available.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

Sababa-chat helps parents and adults summarize school, kindergarten, and parent group chat messages.

Users may manually upload a .txt or .zip chat export file or paste chat text into the App. The App processes the text to generate a structured summary, such as important announcements, urgent items, deadlines, payments and forms, homework, things to bring, and parent action items.

Sababa-chat is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to WhatsApp, Meta, Facebook, any school, or any educational institution. The App does not connect directly to WhatsApp, Meta, Facebook, schools, or educational institutions. The App does not automatically access your chats, contacts, groups, chat list, or message history.

Media files contained in chat exports, such as images, videos, audio files, and documents, are ignored and are not used to generate summaries. Only chat text is processed.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

Sababa-chat is intended only for adults who are 18 years of age or older.

By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

The App is not directed to children, including children under 13 in the United States or children under the age of digital consent in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

Children may not use the App or submit information to the App.

3. User Responsibility for Chat Content

You are responsible for the chat content you upload or paste into the App.

By uploading a chat export file or pasting chat text, you confirm that:

• you have the legal right and permission to upload or paste that content;
• you understand that filtered chat text may be sent to Google Gemini to generate your requested summary;
• you will not upload or paste content that you are not authorized to share;
• you will avoid uploading highly sensitive information about children or other people, including health information, special education needs, disciplinary matters, identification documents, precise addresses, financial information, or private family matters, unless you have the legal right and a legitimate reason to do so.

You remain responsible for reviewing the content before upload or submission.

4. AI-Generated Summaries and Accuracy

Sababa-chat uses AI to generate summaries. AI-generated summaries may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or may misunderstand the original chat context.

Sababa-chat is provided for convenience only. It is not a substitute for reading official school communications, checking the original chat messages, or confirming important information directly with the school, teacher, class representative, or relevant parent.

You are responsible for verifying important information before taking action, including deadlines, payments, forms, schedule changes, homework, medical information, safety instructions, or any other important matter.

Do not rely on Sababa-chat for emergency, legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or time-critical decisions.

5. Privacy and AI Processing

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Before any chat text is sent to Google Gemini, the App presents a privacy confirmation notice explaining what data is sent, who it is sent to, and why it is sent.

The user must confirm that they are 18 years or older, have the right or permission to upload or paste the chat, and agree that filtered chat text may be sent to Google Gemini to generate the requested summary.

The App does not send chat text to Google Gemini until this permission is provided.

Sababa-chat applies automated privacy filtering designed to remove or mask common sensitive details where possible, but filtering is not perfect and may not detect every personal or sensitive detail.

Filtered chat text is sent to Google Gemini only to generate the summary you requested. Sababa-chat does not sell personal information, use chat content for advertising, or use chat content to train its own AI models.

6. No Storage of Chat Content or Summaries

Sababa-chat does not store uploaded chat content or generated summaries.

Uploaded chat files, extracted chat text, and pasted chat text are processed transiently solely to produce your requested summary and are not stored in our databases after processing.

Generated summaries are shown to you in the App and are not stored by Sababa-chat.

Sababa-chat does not store chat history or create profiles of children, parents, teachers, or school staff.

7. Advertising, Attribution, and App Events

Sababa-chat may use Meta/Facebook SDK and Meta App Events only to measure advertising performance, understand whether users install or open the App after seeing an ad, and improve advertising effectiveness.

Meta may receive limited technical and non-content event information, such as app installs, app opens, device or app information, timestamps, and non-content event names such as paywall_viewed, summary_generated, subscription_started, or purchase_completed, if these events are used.

Sababa-chat does not send chat content, uploaded files, pasted chat text, generated summaries, names, phone numbers, email addresses, links, school names, class names, payment or banking details, national ID numbers, or other user-provided chat content to Meta.

Sababa-chat does not use chat content for advertising or ad targeting.

8. Subscriptions, Payments, and Renewals

Sababa-chat may offer paid subscriptions or other paid features.

If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your purchase is processed by the relevant app store, and their payment terms, renewal rules, cancellation process, and refund policies apply.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled according to the rules of the app store or payment provider through which you purchased the subscription.

You are responsible for managing or canceling your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

Sababa-chat does not receive your full payment card details.

Access to paid features may depend on your subscription status, app store confirmation, technical availability, and compliance with these Terms.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• upload or paste content you do not have the right to share;
• upload or paste highly sensitive personal information unless legally permitted and reasonably necessary;
• violate the privacy, intellectual property, or other rights of any person;
• use the App for unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or misleading purposes;
• attempt to reverse engineer, copy, scrape, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the App;
• bypass security, payment, usage limits, or access controls;
• use the App to generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, or misleading content.

10. Intellectual Property

Sababa-chat, including its name, design, features, software, interface, branding, and related materials, is owned by the Operator or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Sababa-chat or any related intellectual property rights to you.

You retain any rights you may have in the chat content you submit, subject to the limited permission needed for Sababa-chat to process the content and generate your requested summary.

11. License to Process Submitted Content

By uploading a chat export file or pasting chat text, you grant Sababa-chat a limited, temporary, non-exclusive permission to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the requested summary, applying privacy filtering, operating the Service, maintaining security, and complying with applicable law.

This permission ends when processing is completed, except for limited technical, operational, security, or legal records that may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of account information we hold by contacting us, subject to applicable legal and operational retention requirements.

13. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or accurate.

We do not guarantee that summaries will identify every important message, deadline, payment, form, homework item, or action item.

We do not guarantee that automated privacy filtering will detect or remove every personal or sensitive detail.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sababa-chat and the Operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from:

• your violation of these Terms;
• your submission of content that you did not have the right or permission to submit;
• your violation of applicable law or third-party rights;
• your misuse of the Service.

16. Termination or Suspension

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or restrict access to the App if we believe that you have violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, abused the Service, attempted to bypass payment or usage limits, or used the App in a way that may harm other users, third parties, or the Service.

17. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update the App, add or remove features, change pricing, modify usage limits, or update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may notify users through the App or by other appropriate means.

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply to you in your country or region of residence.
